Managing soils in a changing climate

The Farming Advice Service in partnership with the Climate Ready Support Service invite you to attend a workshop on Tuesday 24th February at Marbury Village Hall, School Lane, Marbury, Whitchurch, Shropshire SY13 4LU

The event will focus on the recent changes to Cross Compliance and the new soil management requirements. We will also look at the impacts of extreme weather on soils and how farm businesses can manage these risks to remain competitive and compliant. 

The event, delivered by independent farm advisers will cover:

  • Introduction to climate change looking at scenarios and impacts on businesses;
  • Extreme weather impacts on soils and actions to reduce damage;
  • Changes to Cross Compliance & the new soils management requirements;
  • Identifying actions to protect your soil and remain compliant.

The event will be delivered in the morning at 10.00am - 12.30pm and repeated in the afternoon from 1.30pm - 4pm, please state when booking which session you would prefer.
