Managing soils in a changing climate

You are invited to a walk on Friday 20th February at Midloe Grange, Rectory Lane, Southoe, Cambridgeshire, PE19 5YD The group will convene for an introductory workshop before going outside for a practical soil management farm walk session

The event will focus on the recent changes to Cross Compliance and the new soil management requirements. We will also look at the impacts of extreme weather on soils and how farm businesses can manage these risks to remain competitive and compliant. 

The event, delivered by independent farm advisers will cover:

  • Introduction to climate change looking at scenarios and impacts on businesses;
  • Extreme weather impacts on soils and actions to reduce damage;
  • Changes to Cross Compliance & the new soils management requirements;
  • A practical on-farm session looking at soil structure and management.

The event will be delivered in the morning at 10.00am - 12.30pm and repeated in the afternoon from 1.30pm - 4pm, please state when booking which session you would prefer.
